Eliminate Thermo-Electric Coolers
The OMR fiber laser uses well developed semiconductor laser technology to provide the pump source for the fiber laser. The very robust thermal performance of these pump lasers combined with the generally reduced thermal sensitivity of fiber lasers yield outstanding temperature dependence characteristics over the temperature range from 0 to 70 oC.
When operated OPEN LOOP with no power stabilization feedback, and at constant pump laser power, the emission wavelength is maintained at typically within 4nm of nominal over the entire operational temperature range. As a result, the need for power hungry thermo-electric coolers is eliminated for many applications.
